When I have my bag I use as a back rest on I'm stretched when leaning on the bag. Without the bag, the bars are perfect. I think it is a combination of the bag back rest and the seat cushion that raised me 1/2" higher that made the bars feel lower. When the bike is "naked" the bars are perfect.

I suppose I could add a little thickness to the bag and try that first. That's a free mod.

This is the only pic I know of that shows me riding with the bars. Slight bend in my arms when the bike is not set up for long rides. With the Wild *** (which worked great!) I sit just high enough that it was uncomfortable in the reach. I have the bars there because with the apes that were on it, it killed my back. The lower bars made the back pain go away.

Will you switch out the risers between long rides and short ones?

I doubt it, I think that would get annoying. I'd like to set it and forget it.

May want to try just something minimal like 2” risers then.

Like those or replace the entire riser? Those are extensions and I was thinking 2" up should be good. Not a massive change. I'm gonna screw around in the shop before I buy anything and see what 2" up would feel like.

John...

I don't know how much money you think I make, but it's not that much.

Second, I need to go up, not down. The stock risers are 2.75 and I'm thinking going up 2" would be nice. Hopefully it doesn't look stupid. I'd be okay with getting whole new risers that were 5" tall too.

I'll double check the link. Also, you should post pics so I can better imagine all of this.

I was thinking replacing the 2” risers you have with 4”. They will probably have or you can get ones with a little gooseneck as well. Might be the ticket.

Gotcha. That's why I'm looking at 5" risers because that would add the 2" to what I have. I'm worried about the appearance simply because the bike has been the same for so long lol. Even 4" risers would give me an inch more than what I have. I really like the bars so I think changing the risers is the better option. Still looking for risers.

Would any riser work or do I need Springer specific risers?
