My neighbor is going to use “Gator Dust” to grout the stones, it is some kind of fancy polymer that he heard works great for this sort of application. I’ve never used it before.

I would be interested in hearing how it worked out Russ. I'm going to be doing a Fieldstone walkway and was just going to use sand, or something that encourages moss growth. In the end my main desire is that I do not want weeds.
He says that it is designed to be used to fill gaps from 1/4” to 6” wide. I have no experience with it so I’ll let you know. I tried to talk him into pea gravel but he didn’t want that.

I use a type of polymer for pavers. Works great, locks them up tight and prevents weed growth....but it's expensive. If he uses the same stuff, it's going to cost him a fortune! Gaps in pavers are 1/8" +..
