TOAK, The Thread of All Knowledge Part XIII
supp woods? did a bunch of shopping today.....over 600 bucks on 4 pairs of glasses, 2 for me 2 for the missus.........guess it aint bad......my insurance doesn't carry out of network, and in network is a 300 dollar bill for one pair let alone 2.
What a day. Finally finished putting the new engine in the jeep and started it for the first time this evening. It started, but won't idle; have to keep light pressure on the gas pedal. Funny thing though, have a CEL light, but my scanner says no codes found. It can't be stored codes because the battery has been disconnected since I blew the motor in mid June. Thinking the ECM needs to learn the new engine. It's probably used to a motor with 170K on it and now is trying to run a motor with 0 miles on it. Gonna try to drive it for a bit tomorrow and see what happens.
When I lived in Arizona over 30 years ago, I used a dark plastic shield, clip on the sun visor like this one. Just looked on Amazon to see if they were still sold, and now there are much fancier ones, I like this dual one with yellow too, sometimes I get blinded by oncoming traffic at night. The dark plastic one I had worked pretty well in daylight. If you have tall side windows like on a pickup, it works real well to block the sun that seems to more often than not be just below the sun visor. In Arizona I put a strip of dark film across the top of the windshield, allowed there but I had to take that off in Minnesota.

Well, I'm going to throw a Vac gauge on it first. Problem will be getting the wife to spray starting fluid around the intake to find the leak if there is one. What could go wrong???
Evening all. Tile all washed up. Need to run into town for some grout sealent. Have a shot tone of dust to clean up in the rest of the room.
