TOAK, The Thread of All Knowledge Part XIII
If they are truly serious about reducing the size of police departments, I think they should start by eliminating the security details for all Democrat elected officials.
From Sherri concerning Mick:
"He got out of surgery about 2pm. It lasted longer than anticipated. He's in recovery now and I'll get to see him after 6p. I'll let you know more when I see him . But they say it went well."

Afternoon gents!
In my world I don't know that I would feel a serious side effect of a reduction in police. Not meant to be an insult when I say I honestly cannot think of any time in my life where the police have benefitted me directly. Unless speeding tickets are a benefit. That, of course is not factoring all the "unseen" effects of having a police presence. But if something shitty goes down the old saying applies - when seconds count, the cops are minutes away. A cop told me that.

I'd go with the, It's because they are there and can arrest ya.
Last time we called it was 45 mins for them to come about 3 miles.
6 shots of cortisone later and I think I feel better, we'll find out when the painkillers wear off.
Nothing I'd look forward to again, but if it works..so be it.
Anybody wear a shoulder holster btw?
Hard to wear an OWB with pants with no belt.
Alw
ps..btw Russ you should make another trip up here, finally summer and ya could get by with maybe a parka and gloves...
