TOAK, The Thread of All Knowledge Part XIII
Because that's what we were taught on TV.
Could be, they were plentiful and abundant, kinda hard to catch a name.
Al is gonna be crushed if Bob Dog turns out whiny.
Evening, boys.
I slogged my through the "HI" thread. Goodness, what a mess.
Russ, is Ms. Hard Head Engineer a new hire for ISD?

Thanks Russ, All good man. I hope you and yours are well. Business is picking up, I'm not ready for it but whoever is? 3 bikes in this building at one time will max me out. I bought a 10' x 20' canopy to go over the slab once it's poured but that's about it for the bike waiting area. Logistics, but this building was such a good deal and close to home.

No, she's a DER and obviously does not understand the scope of her position. We'll clear that up tomorrow. She's an excellent organizer but FAR interpretation is not her strong suit and has really made things a lot more difficult than it needed to be. Some folks thrive on conflict but the OPs manager and I prefer to stay under the FAA radar because it is much safer in a business sense to operate that way. I asked her today why ISD contracted her as a DER? She really didn't see where I was going with it so I explained it to her like this, "If you are the DER, you are a representative of the FAA. As a consequence of your position you as a representative of the FAA have the authority to approve the engineering data and issue a 8110-3. The FSDO won't do it, which is why you were hired. Why are you asking the FSDO to approve documents they never have before?" Very long pause and we have another meeting tomorrow morning.

He does whine once in a while. If a cat refuses to play with him. Check If he wants something of his really, REALLY, bad, that he has launched into such a position or location that he can't retrieve it, he whines. Check... he's a good dog.
