TOAK, The Thread of All Knowledge Part XIII
Both bolts on each plate were showing marks from the rocker shaft. More so on the front cylinder, but visible on the rear as well.

Steaks on smoker as the kidlets are Making supper for Mother’s Day. We were supposed to go for a sxs ride but that changed until tomorrow. So I ended up getting the loader, getting a bucket of fill and shovelled it along the west side of the house to fill the low spot. Back to the shop I went, put the forks on, grabbed the bag of top soil (cubic yard) and set it in the backyard.
The landscape was Leaning towards the house, so remedying that before it does turn into an issue.
Then I pulled the women apart to change the belt for the drive. Going to have to order a belt.
Overall, a great day to catch up. Then I can enjoy tomorrow guilt free.

Hey Jack. Doing pretty good for an old guy
Still waiting for the weather to turn, some rain to clean the roads from the winter gravel so I can enjoy a ride.
But there’s other things out there to enjoy.
How about you? How’d that pour go?

There was one strange thing I noticed. On the intake side of the rear cylinder, the insert pressed all the way in without using the nut and washer supplied with the kit. The rest had to be pressed in. I don't recall that bolt showing a worse witness mark than the rest, but I was moving along to stay ahead of the rain.

Was planning on heading to Nevada via the mountains of Colorado and Utah in a couple of weeks, but I have to see how all the bullshit shakes out. Don't wanna go to Maggie Valley till Fall. We'll see....

I wouldn’t have second guessed on the pour haha.
Are they still stopping Inter state travel?
We have our big ride this summer but damn, I don’t know when they’re planning on opening the border.

Lots of States are trying to be reopened by May 15th, but it will vary I guess. I'm gonna wait till the end of next week, then see what's going on out West, State by State. Need to make a few reservations, so next weekend is my deadline to make final decisions.

This whole thing is way past annoying. Gonna have to chat up Russ and Damon to figure stuff out. Luckily, they can still do the tour. I guess we could meet at the border, wave to each other and go from there haha.
