Chair is coming along Lou, I like it. A planer would be awesome for that work. That oak, is it tough sanding or going down easily?

Pain to sand considering I've had this oak outside since 1998. Working with wood is a hobby but I suck at it. Dropping$400 on a plainer is probably out of the question. A guy can dream.
