TOAK, The Thread of All Knowledge Part XIII
Hey, Russ...thanks for asking. They move her out of special ER Corvid room to a floor yesterday. Last report from this morning (son gets regular reports from DRs) is that her vitals are good, on 5L of o2 and Sats are 92...amazing. While that may sound good, it may create more of a nightmare situation for her. Multiple possible scenarios at this point, all of which put her in a position much worse than she was in......I said yesterday that recovery may not yield the best result....
A very young man to pass.
Morning Tim!
Morning Russ!
Silencers are fun, but a PITA to get. Silencerco (as linked by Mick) tries to make things easy by handling all the paperwork at their "virtual kiosk" but it's still hoops to jump through. The way to go is get a trust so that someone besides you can own it. But you still have to pay $250 (I think) for the Federal tag plus the silencer cost = easily $800 and more like $1200. Then you get to wait 6 months to a year to get the silencer you bought "out of jail" as they say. I may do it, but it's a lot of money for a glorified muffler.
And yes, threaded barrels are readily available.

I think you can get threaded barrels for some of them, too! Son was telling me yesterday since murders and homicides are down, the detectives are pretty much sitting around the barracks. They're complaining about how much money they're spending on line. One just ordered a silencer for a.22, by the time he was done with permits and all, it cost him $800.

Bingo..you win the prize. The nursing home may (not sure) readmit her if she's sustainable on 4L but that pretty much means bedridden and constant o2 at a place she doesn't want to be, in worse physical condition than she was. Other scenarios are even worse.
