Tilapia for me. No pics, but I did take one of lunch, nuttin special, sort of a soft shell taco. I keep a bowl of ready to warm taco meat in the fridge for a quick lunch or breakfast.

I've seen a B52 strike at night (all I could actually see was the flash of the bombs), B57 Canberras putting rockets on targets, F100s dive bombing (just a few hundred yards away once), A37s bombing and strafing, and an AC47 Puff at night - that was pretty awesome, too, lot of minigun action, so many tracers it almost makes a solid line. All those planes fired red tracers, occasionally saw green, but they were going the wrong way...
When I was in Desert Storm, at night we would lay against the windshield and watch the planes fly overhead and absolutely pound the Iraqi positions on the horizon. Night after night it was surreal. The ground never stopped shaking either.

Desert Shield was the military support/build up response in Saudi Arabia to the Kuwaiti invasion by Iraq (8/90- 1/91). Desert Storm was the air war and subsequent ground attack unleashed when the support/build up was achieved (1/91 - 3/91). There was extensive occupation there for years supporting the NO FLY zone.

Headed home then to bed. Night woods.

Mornin Doc, back reading combat stories . It makes the 20% bump ( “ hazard pay” ) I’m getting for shuffling seem inappropriately named .

Even though I get out of the house daily for shuffling, this stay home, stay safe mantra is driving me crazy !. All be it a short drive .
