TOAK, The Thread of All Knowledge Part XIII
Yes moldy they grow year round! Can get them pretty much anytime I want. Same with the citrus here.
Evening Greg and Dave.
Watching a clip on the A10 Warthog, Mike did you ever have anything to do with them?
When I was at Fort Drum, they had them there and the engine whine is a sound you will never forget and of course there is the BRRRRRRRRTTTT.
I've only had close air support form Cobras which are their own kinda bad assery.

So bad ***! Should keep them flying forever.
I'm thinking they were just kept alive recently by the military after thinking they were no longer necessary initially. They've been saying that for years tho.
If you ever get the chance to see them at an air show take the chance to go. Slow and clumsy but they are amazing to watch.

I doubt our Australian Navy cook could have handled frog legs, he couldn't even cook a decent steak.

Only seen them in video's. We want to see a real air show someday before they are outlawed due to toxic masculinity.

Nope, after my time. Saw Cobras have at it from a distance, never near me, just the standard C model Huey gunships flew support on my flights, A-1 Skyraiders (awesome laying .50 suppressive fire next to you while landing!) and F4 Phantoms (even more awesome, 20mm and napalm). I've seen a B52 strike at night (all I could actually see was the flash of the bombs), B57 Canberras putting rockets on targets, F100s dive bombing (just a few hundred yards away once), A37s bombing and strafing, and an AC47 Puff at night - that was pretty awesome, too, lot of minigun action, so many tracers it almost makes a solid line. All those planes fired red tracers, occasionally saw green, but they were going the wrong way...
