Afternoon woods,

Been with the grandkids all day, now at work for the rest of the evening.

Dealership just called, apparently the engine was sumping, restricted the oil flow, caused the engine to get overheated, and damaged the crank and bearings. 2nd bike they have seen with that issue at the dealership, the other being a trike.

HD Moco was running them thru several diagnostic tests before they finally gave in and allowed them to open the case which is where they discovered the damaged crank and bearings.

Parts have been ordered, to include a 2020 oil pump to prevent it from happening again. All work covered under the warranty.

Yes and the Tech guy wants it out of his shop. He said he has lost sleep over it trying to figure it out.

That's good Russ but you have a loooong way to go with your aggressive levels. You need to get up to at least 50%.

Good deal Rick!

Finished the inner wear plate. Covering 2 long wear cracks. Gets hot welding in a bucket.

Ah, the dreaded M8 sumping issue. I'm surprised they didn't just give you a crate motor.

I asked if it was the fluid transfer from the transmission to the engine oil which I thought it was.
He referred there being an oil pump problem.
I dont care as long as they fix it correctly and I dont have any further issues
