I don't buy much in grocery stores, get the big packages from Sam's, Costco, or now, Amazon. Lot of those boxes will last me a month or two. When I expanded the garden after retiring, got a second freezer. Only thing I've run out of is milk, can do without that. I'm stocked pretty good till June, not for the lockdown, just the way I've done it for years now. Lot cheaper, less trips I don't like doing to get the stuff. If I go hermit through June, I'll run out of meat, but a routine Sam's run will fix that for the rest of summer. Or dying from the virus, either solves the problem.
Raining pretty good out there now, definitely no ride today. Maybe I should see if the van still runs and check out Sam's, see if the rain is keeping the crowds away. Doubtful, it's still panic shopping here.

Rain, sleet, cleaned the wimpshield on the 1200 this morning, but it's going to just shine in the garage today, rain and occasional sleet out there, and last time I checked, still below zero if you're Canadian, 20's for the rest of us.
The Dutch lady I've watched on youtube riding a Royal Enfield from Patagonia to Alaska isn't anymore, only made it to Peru. Lockdown caught her in a small town, got scared by police and hostile locals, Dutch embassy supposedly cleared the way for her to get to Lima, Peru, where they'll have a seat for her on a Dutch charter plane. Sounds like a good chance she'll lose her bike, can't take it with her. Lot of people traveling like that are just trying to get home now, something like 1900 Dutch trying to get out of Peru alone. Going to be a lot of vehicles from bikes to RV campers that might just disappear.
Time to stop and fuel up, was in the garage before breakfast and now the tummy says feed me you fool. I'm thinking hot spicy cheesy omelette with hot spicy cheesy hash browns and a couple sausage patties. Then I can figure out what to have for lunch. I think a fresh pot of chili would be good on a day like this. Supper... I feel a craving for fish is developing. Chili... fish... made me think of my last Army duty station, Hunter Army Airfield next to Savannah, Georgia. Often had lunch at the PX, big bowl of chili, big fish sandwich with cheese, big chocolate malt. Buck and a half for all of it.
Ketch up time, I'm 10 pages behind already.

Quiet here. Nursing home puts on an interactive podcast thingie twice a day. The patient who has the virus has virtually no signs of the virus, minimal fever and doesn't even look like anything is wrong with her. Was found by testing. That's good except the scary part is people who are carrying it may show no signs or symptoms. Knowing the people up there, I feel confident that they are taking every precaution.
Spoke to the lake house owner's son , yesterday, who has full Power of Attorney for almost an hour. We got along great. We're both anxious to close. He texts me this morning to say " Everything has gone to the attorney. Hopefully, you'll be fishing soon"..I replied " Great, most normal people when they want to get back into fishing, buy a boat. I bought a house". He answers " There's a small boat there that you can have, two birds with one stone. Tell people you bought a boat and I threw a house in, you'll have a very expensive boat"..... I like this guy.

Don't ya find when you treat others well they tend to return the favor? Took me a lotta years to figure that out.

Yep, some people never understand that....don't get me wrong, I can be a real ***** if I have to but, I don't like doing that. Which makes me be more of one since I'm doing something I don't like to do...
