Good luck on the back surgery Mick...
Been there done that. Pick a great Neurosurgeon. I will say this for a heads up, when I had my back surgery last year there was a lot of pain afterwards. First couple of days I was wondering WTF I had gotten myself into. They'll get you on your feet the next day. Within a few days the pain subsides. Took me about 8 weeks to start feeling normal again.
I had 4 blown discs, and could barely function before my surgery. Much better now, pretty much back to normal. Still some bad/stiff/painful days here and there, but they are few and far between...
Took pain pills for about a month, none since other than tylenol...

Evening woods, I just found out my friend that helps me here at the shop has a coworker at his regular job who tested positive. No signs from him or me but kinda hits home. Dumbass came to work sick they had to send him home and he's a supervisor. In related news I was paying for my stuff at the gas station and there is a dusch nozzle in line behind me breathing down my neck. He may probably never know how close he came to getting an elbow to the jaw. Back before this all started had an older fella (older than me) had his head over my shoulder while I was punching in my card pin number. He also has no idea how close he came to an elbow. That's two strikes, I'm not waiting for a third. Next one gets it.
