Ouch!!!! Not much worse than dealing with a bad back. A couple of the geezers I hang with have been ongoing with back pain for years....shots and operations have been in abundance for both of them and have only given temporary relief.
Years of abuse and hard work sure take their toll.

Mick, does anything give you any relief at all at night? different bed, sleeping in a recliner? anything?

 

Mornin, Al. Nothing in the way of sleeping position. I do some of the physical therapy exercises but with little difference. I have some knock out pills but don't take them they make me goofy. Should that be more goofy?

No doubt, Al. I have been against a surgical procedure from the outset. Now that I think I have come to terms with it non emergency surgeries are not an option while the virus is at the forefront.
