We don't grind our coffee. We have a combo machine that can make single k-cups or a carafe. Don't laugh, but the McDonald's blend coffee is pretty hard to beat and I have tried lots of different brands and blends.
Al, are you gonna let Bob have a better coffee grinder than you? Step up...

If H-Bob wants oral sex from a 6k machine I cannot imagine the perversion attendant with a 24k grinder.

Helps to have a backup grinder, too. I had a bad moment one morning when the grinder didn't grind, and then remembered I had a spare. Only time I used it, worked fine. Bit noisy, though. Hmm, Bob - a bit noisy...
After some spectacular glass everywhere events, I got a metal coffee press, too. Don't grind the beans in it with the manual grinder, put the beans in a towel. No, I didn't learn that the hard way. For once.

Hey, Lou....do you think you can put a coffee filter in the bottom container of that grinder and have the grounds go right in the filter?
OK, Moldy, explain why ya need a hammer to make coffee. This sounds way too complicated for that early in the morning.
