TOAK, The Thread of All Knowledge Part XIII
Afternoon coffee drinkers. Poop or not styles included. Not for me. Used to drink Starbucks Sumatra like it was going out of style. Its very strong. Loved it but it didnt like me. A week of that and my stomach / backside were doing backflips. So after a couple years I quit.

I like a strong cranberry white tea on occasions.
Lou, I edited your post because someone typed you like strong white cranberry tea on occasions. Glad I caught that before anyone saw it.....

You're telling me, I just realized copy and paste is a mere gateway activity.
Jeez....tea and Prius'...what is this place turning into? Next it'll be recipe sharing and crocheting tips..
Knit 1, purl 2, Al.
Yeah.....a party at the same place a while back and he brought some expensive Scotch and shared out measured amounts. Then we got to listen to him go on, and on, an on about what a connysewer he is. But it turns out the only reason he has this coffee business is his wife, a nurse, was able to front the money and use her credit because his sucks.
If that's not enough, he has a ping pong coach. Who has a ping pong coach?? And he's not even very good.
A good grinder is a blessing. By good I don't mean expensive. I bought one on closeout from World Market for $20 bucks. It's awesome. World market also has decent coffee prices.
I like Sumatra. You don't have to make it strong. You can use less beans. Columbian is always a good medium roast. Mocha Java and Costa Rican also.
I think Moldy is a coffee guy. He brought his paraphernalia to WS19.

With all the discussion this week over fresh ground coffee, I decided to buy a grinder and some coffee beans. You have to understand that I'm a coffee *****...I will drink any kind of coffee including stale gas station coffee if I have to. My wife thinks that it's disgusting that I'll drink the coffee made at 6 a.m. at 2 p.m. :icon-shrug: I'll just buy a cheap grinder from Amazon since i'll get tired of it in a month and I can just throw it away.
Now the question for you guys. My wife doesn't like strong coffee but I do. Any recommendations on coffee that might be acceptable to both of us. I usually take the first cup out of the machine because I think it's the strongest.....Oh...it better not be $50/lb stuff
