I didn’t think the Durango was good for anything let alone a zamboni.

I picked up a set of brand new "take off" wheels, tires and accessories off of a 2020 Chevrolet a few weeks ago ... A great deal from a local tire store ... Mine were looking real rough as the clear coat had began coming off and the aluminum was starting to badly pit ... I got the "take offs" for less than the price of a replacement set of tires ... I put them on the truck yesterday and thought I'd list the old ones on Facebook Marketplace for $100.00 ... I figured some kid could use them as the tires only have about 30,000 miles on them ... What a mistake ... In minutes I was besieged with "Are these still available" ... "What's you lowest price" ... "Will you hold them until I get paid next week" ... "I'm 50 miles away will you pay for my gas to get there" ... "I'd come right now but my truck won't start" on and on and on ... All of this in about 45 minutes ... Cancelled the ad and I'm gonna put them up to the corner intersection with a "Free" sign later today .... Never ever again will I make the same mistake :<(

Damn Larry......that's annoying.

I sold some snow tires on rims a while back. Similar deal. Guy said he wanted them and I told him first come, first serve. Another guy shows up with cash and takes them. I call the other guy, who apparently was 100 miles into his 150 mile drive to get them. He read me the riot act. Basically told him sorry but cash in hand wins and no promises were made. Apparently some day I'll get what's coming to me I was told.

I keep buying lottery tickets and it hasn't happened yet. That guy was FOS.

Watching the game from yesterday between Toronto Maple Leafs and Carolina Hurricanes. Both Hurricane goalies got hurt during the game. So they ended up using an emergency goal tender who happens to be the Toronto zamboni driver. Long story short, Leafs lost to the Canes and the zamboni driver gets his first NHL win with his first game ever played in the NHL.
What a story. Do you think the people in Toronto are happy for him?
BTW, the hit on the back up goalie was about as cheap as you can get.

The joys of selling. My old rims were pitted bad, same thing clear coat clomping off. These were on my aftermarket rims. Last winter I had the tires dismounted, sensors out and sent them to get blasted and powder coated. In all, I think it cost me $400. Now I only use them in the summer and my stocks have the winter tires on them.

Bob, using my knowledge of the tax code I am about to save you a small fortune. As you probably know you can deduct the amount of losses to offset winnings. i have a couple of years worth of losing lottery tickets I am willing to part with for pennies on the dollar. If you have interest PM me and remember....cash is king but if ya need me to hold 'em for ya until pay day I understand.

I thought of that too Tim ... Replacement was quicker and easier on me ... Up until the listing in Marketplace
