No one has referred to it as total or partial. They essentially cut the top of her femur off and stuck a titanium rod in there with a ball on the end, Then they put a socket on the pelvic bone for that titanium piece to rest in just like a ball and socket.
Thanks Greg. The next few hours will be telling. The more the pain meds wear off, the more discomfort she's feeling, which is normal I guess.

I have an MP4 file, one I sent to all the guys whose e-mails I have, and am trying to copy and paste it into the Forum, but am having difficulty.
Do I have to convert it to something else?
Copy and paste doesn't work.
Dragging it from the desktop into the reply box doesn't work.
Ideas?

She already stood and did a little bit with the walker. The idea is she is supposed to walk every 2 hours when not sleeping. Not a lot of walking. Just to the bathroom basically. To morrow they'll give us the full details as to when she can walk without the walker.
Essentially the hip is done - it doesn't require any healing. It's the incision that they want to be careful about. But Keanu Reeves can fight off ninjas and ride a motorcycle after he gets stabbed, so we're optimistic.
