TOAK, The Thread of All Knowledge Part XIII
Hah! Funny Al. I would say sounds like a nice father/son project, but having changed out a water heater or two, I know it's not. Not so much the work as the pita to drain and haul the old one out. And then what? Fortunately we had scrapers that patrolled the hoods so anything like that left at the curb was gone by morning.

Son is Fire Chief in town. Between him and my SIL with all the various equipment they have, they do a lot of "favors" for the town. I'm sure that he's not getting a permit and most likely call somebody up and they'll come pick it up for him.
Hey, Russ. It appears in Oklahoma City the struggle remains real as well. Although I hate to stereotype those made up and combined names do little to hide the ethnicity of the perps. Just heard, on local news, Reginald Darby Harrington IV has been jailed on suspicion of insider trading. He will share a cell with JaDequin Octavionus Moore who shot and killed his neighbor in a dispute over a drug debt.

I remember re locating my water heater years ago from the basement to the outside of the house and went from electric to propane. My neighbor threatened to turn me on for not getting a permit if I didn't do it correctly. Was a fun learning experience plumbing it from scratch. The old one is still in the basement. Need to pull it out one of these days. Mine is 13 years old now. Fingers crossed it is still working good.

A few years ago my sister calls me and asks if I can come over and help BIL change out the water heater at her house. Sure, says I and I show up. Sister didn’t tell me the water heater was in the attic of their two story home. Yeah, we got it done, no permit.
