We're in the process of outfitting all our units ( through a federally funded homeland security program ) with externally mounted cameras .... 5 of us were instrumental in proposing a change to the State of Michigan to make it a mandatory 6 month license suspension and a $5000.00 fine for the first offense I have a stop that is consistently being ran by drivers ... The ironic thing is that one of the kids ( a first grader ) dad is a Livingston County Sheriff .... I try to make stop in such a manner as to make it very difficult for a vehicle to pass on the right side .... you'd be amazed at how common it is for drivers to blow the lights, especially while their noses are stuck in a cellphone
Hey, Lou...new intake. Like Ken told me "Bondo and paint make the welder you ain't ".... ....

Really good welds look fine, don't need smoothing. I used to be fair, but not an artist like a few guys I've watched. The airline had a few aircraft certified welders that did some of the best work I've ever seen, but on aircraft they want more than "good enough". They had to do welds that looked perfect on x-rays showing the whole internal structure.

I've got a buddy ( Bob Miller ..Daredevil Choppers ) who's welding prowess is second to none ... He's even better than me :>)
Larry, I think I hate that guy! Fortunately, anything I had to weld had to be perfectly smooth and painted, but I'd still love to weld even close to that. Not enough years left to get good.

Question - don't some buses have arms that swing way out at a stop blocking traffic?
