Nice to have a big drill press when drilling a 2" hole. Not the most professional way to do it but it's working.

I've even used it for making shims out of 2x4s. I can make a perfect 1/8th shim that's 8 feet long if need be. And it does a really nice job on cross cuts as well. The narrowest I have done is about 12 inch wide.

I've never actually seen a 2 inch twist drill before. I used to cut holes in thick steel plate with a mag-drill. I think I used up to 1.5, but it was the bit that looks like a carbide hole saw kind of. Worked very well, I can say that.
