Never had a cat, never wanted a cat and will never have a cat. They just don't do anything for me. I like big dogs.

Did you try a second opinion or look cheaper place? Is it an indoor only cat? What happened that they all need pulled? I know cats have that problem that their gums want to cover their teeth and need cut. Mine needs that done actually. (Need to get her in...) what's it's age?
Cat is an indoor only cat, but it has FIV, feline immuno virus and is about 8 years old. GF has been trying to treat it with antibiotics shot in its mouth with a syringe. That's comical to watch! The $800 is for a roving vet to come to the house. That little cat tore up the normal vet and 3 vet techs, he ain't welcome back there no mo!

50 bucks to knock its teeth out and 750 bucks for protective clothing? Stan has some snappy ATGATT stuff you could borrow.

Don't laugh ... I remember garnering my riding gloves and leather to help Red give the cat a bath ... Once only ... Never do that again

Ahh... FIV. That makes sense on the teeth and high cost. Yeah, some vets are bad with animals. But wow. Maybe get him a pill to relax him then try the bet again?
8 years old is young. Lot of life left in him.

Well over a foot on the ground now, actually not that much for a MN January. Yesterday's inch or two was wet & heavy, lotta evergreen tree limbs hanging low. At least my cold seems to be over. Grandkids coming over tomorrow, hope they don't give me another round.

If it's a windows machine, don't envy you. The win10 box I borrowed last year infuriates me.

You can remind her that cats eat stuff that normally requires teeth. Won't have a great quality of life left. Might starve to death. She doesn't want her cat to die that way, does she? Have her try to feed it some oatmeal...
