Since Dad's were the topic this evening - here's a little recent Dad story. We all must keep our sense of humor whenever possible.
My 86 year old Dad is fairly active and still drives places (locally) but he is slipping. Been taking water pills for a few years now and they work. Seems like the older he gets (and he's about 275#) the better they work, to a point where he doesn't always quite make it to the urinal. This is an elderly, quote proud and very independent Scandinavian retired farmer.
Coming up pretty soon I have to have the loving son conversation with him about wearing Depends. It's time to consider the option, maybe overdue ...... especially in public.
Not sure this is going to go very well, but I have broad shoulders.

I can't imagine how good of a person your Dad was Oldie. Losing folks that are close to us is incredibly hard, losing incredible people is INCREDIBLY hard. Condolences Oldie, I didn't know you then.
