Great story Al. Like Mick said I started to call my dad many times to talk after he was gone. I was restoring the blue and yellow turbine Goose. He never got to see it finished.

They use a mix of sand and salt here, only about 5% salt. The sand that gets swept to the corners is the biggest issue in the winter.

Evening, Rob!

Rob, do you get to fly those planes, or maintain them?

Evening gents. Another busy day. Got a bunch done on the remodel. It's actually looking like a real living space now.

Between tasks I managed to squeak in a ride. Nothing big, but it was nice to get out. Probably did about 60 miles of country roads. It was 52 degrees which felt great. It was funny to ride past lakes that had people ice fishing.

First wife was a Susan, not lazy, just a tramp.

Evening, Bob!
I didn't get near that much of a ride in. Can't really go into the mountains this time of year.

Evening Greg.

I would imagine not. And heading east can be a bit of bore. In that regard I'm very lucky. I live in a fairly decent riding area. Not spectacular like the Rockies, but very close to home.

Bob, you guys always seem to be warmer there than us northerners. It was mid-40s here today, but the roads are white and it ain’t snow.

Even though the temps have been mild the last several days, there are plenty of snow piles, particularly in shaded ares that provide run off and icy areas. Gotta really pay attention.
