Takes lots of real money. I talked to a guy years ago about buying his Beech 18. Needed the wing spar fix, could have done that myself, but the annual expense of parking and maintaining it would have been close to what he was selling it for. I could afford the purchase price easily at the time, but knew it would be a money pit as long as I had it, wisely passed on it. The affordable single engine planes didn't interest me that much, at the time they were real cheap to rent. Not any more, haven't flown in over 30 years.

This would be a fun toy, but, like that Beech 18, would be a money pit if you wanted to actually fly it. I'm actually surprised it's this cheap, but then it doesn't say if it's actually flyable now. Lot of high time parts on it...

I realize Russ made a suggestion for a 7PM hoisting of a Much Ultra for Jose. I don't keep it on hand and I am sure Jose would have understood why. In lieu of that I say God's speed and eternal care for our Brother. You brought smiles to us and I am sure each in his own way will think of you both fondly and often.
