Evening gents!

Bummer about the door Russ. BTDT. You'll find out if the guy is quality or not. A good contractor will simply say no problem, apologize for the error, and make it right. Or not.

There is the answer.
Contractor is gonna bend over backwards to not have to replace the door.

Most times I'm sure that's the case. I was pleasantly surprised by our flooring contractor. His bid included floor leveling. His crew glued the product down without down that. There was a 1/4 dip that ran for 6 feet that I called them on. Because it's a very expensive product, that is time consuming to lay, and it's glued down, and they use some FOREVER glue, I figured he was going to try the discount approach, which I would have refused. Nope. He did what I described above. I told him I wasn't used to that and thanked him for doing it the way I would.

Of course his crew was less than thrilled, and there was much grumbling as they chiseled the expensive wood floor off the concrete. Tough ****.

Bob, don't know why the crew would be pissed unless they weren't getting paid for the redo. They screwed up and most likely getting paid to redo it...
