The difference is it's totally worth it. Today's trip would have been 470 rural miles through a snow storm. And the client weighs about 4 Salma Hayeks. I'm not kidding. She's Mimi Bobeck's doppelganger. Again - not kidding. She looks EXACTLY like her. But very nice.

Ironically, I rented a truck to haul back some materials, and also knowing that we were getting snow. It never occurred to me that the Ram 1500 I took wasn't 4WD. Just learned that this morning when I left for Iowa. Damn thing was all over the road. What the hell kind of truck doesn't have 4WD?? I didn't even know they made them that way. I guess the Florida plates should have tipped me off.

A very timely observation.

Bob, I used to fly to Midway Auto Auction in Chicago and buy 2WD pickups. I could buy the trucks, pay 250 each per 8 truck load, include the flight and own them about a grand back of what they cost here.

In snow country they are cheap.

Mick, the front has just arrived.

I think I’m gonna watch Salma again.

I believe it! I've actually been to that auction with friends. i never bought anything.

Honestly, it never occurred to me it would be a 2 wheel drive truck. Looks the same as 4WD - sits high, big tires, rides like crap, and gets 16 MPG. I would think manufacturers wouldn't even make a truck like that.
