The front blasted through here around 7:30 last night. Sounded like a freight train.

Oh yeah there is. Our town crews are not always on the ball. The highway crews, they love to put salt and gravel down without using the plows.

Freezing rain has to be the worst to deal with.

That sounds just like the storm we had last week. Highways have a sheen to them.

I'm not sure what the protocol for winter weather and holidays is Russ. I think it's more that the municipalities are unprepared for all the snow we have been having. I would imagine the salt supplies may not have been replenished and the trucks are all still in "leaf" mode.

Regardless, I'm just done with driving in crap weather for no truly good reason. Simply not worth it.
