On a side note, yesterday drove to Grande Prairie to pick up Zach’s bday and Christmas present. We (us, mom and dad) bought him lowers for his bike. I took Paula’s Jeep just to see how well the tires will work in winter this year. The plows weren’t out yet, there were two tracks on the highway, sometimes one and a half. There was one person who spun in the ditch probably 10 min before I got there. I managed to turn around in an approach and went to see if they wanted a ride to the nearest town. As I got closer, there was another approach that I can use to get off the highway. I backed in, and there was about 6” of snow and ice from the freezing rain under that. It was also sloped away from the highway, so getting out would be an uphill challenge. Anyway, walked over to the vehicle, a guy came out said he was good, tow truck on its way and thanked me for stopping. I climbed back in the Jeep, put it in drive and crawled out like nothing. Was really impressed with them stock tires. That Jeep was like on a rail all the way there and back.
Nice. The one thing I hate and love about my wrangler is how fast it will swap ends in the ice and snow. It's fun when you want to do it and disconcerting when you don't.
[Edit] It IS sure footed unless you get on it.
