I tow some heavy stuff, I check my hitches regularly for any signs of issues and replace them if necessary.

Daughter's boyfriend is a fully trained, certified Ford mechanic. I leave that kind of stuff up to him. I tow my tandem axle 14' enclosed trailer with the bike in it with my truck. Once in a blue moon, I get involved in towing a car to the track, but I try to avoid that!
