Ok...got it figured out. Seal petcock bung with screw and teflon tape. Hose end of my shop vac is a tight fit into gas cap bung. Put hose on outlet side, Seal it with some plumbers putty, submerge tank and turn it on to look for bubbles.

What kind of petcock did you use?

Very small one with internal filter. Regular motorcycle type ones with the bowl would look out of place on this small tank. Strictly on/off

Put petcock in open position. Fill air into tank using a rubber tipped nozzle. Then shut petcock valve to close. Would that not work, Al?

Yeah that might work, as long as I can dial dial my air hose regulator down that low, never had it down there before. I'll figure something out.

Get an external regulator that goes that low and put on the hose.

I have those plus have regulators on all my outlets in the garage. Actually, i really don't think I have to worry about it. Any pinhole leaks will be sealed with the gas tank sealer. Well...they better be , the sealer kit cost me $70!!!
