Thanks, Lou....I've read that the Caswell stuff is really good. The problem is that I'm trying to weld 22 ga and my welder doesn't have infinite settings, so I'm stuck with too cold or too hot. Don't re,member having this much trouble when i did the Z....maybe because I don't remember much from 15 yrs ago. Little body filler works wonders...

Add another 50 feet of leads. That will lower your available amperage.

Maybe your welder is too old and has menupause?
