Doubt the floor is smooth. I'm picturing a messy **** carpet from the 80's. Probably find some Cheetos in there.

Lou and Tim, expert metal fabricators, I need some pro advice. If i duct tape the seams, do you think my foamboard tank will hold gas? This way I won't have to make a real steel one...

I hope so. From the pic angle ,the tank looks bigger than it is. Going to mock it up again with layers of 2" insulation board to fine tune it, then make a wood last for welding panels together...rest of the bike should be easy after the tank is made.
