Haha.....you welders don't need them so you don't know what they are. Gonna play with it today. 99% of what I;ll be doing is sheet metal with stitch welds, may as well give myself every advantage.

I suspected all along, but it was proven today - Cheryl is a pitiless person.
I was doing some work on the house (go figure) and I had a minor accident with a power tool resulting in tearing off half a finger nail. I don't care how big or tough you are - that hurts. So I go upstairs to wash it and get a bandage on. Cheryl is in the bathroom at the sink and, like a fool, I show it to her expecting some sort of sympathetic reaction. At least a "Poor baby?" Nothing. Not even a "Meh....". Just passive disinterest. Apparently she could be troubled to look away from the mirror. I even tried to exaggerate a futile/frustrated attempt to locate a band-aide. No offers to help.....nothin!
