You might not believe this, but I'm in less than $1k total right now. But thousands in tools. Haven't started the engine but I'm gonna run it till it won't run then fix or replace it. I rebuilt the rear axle after paying $200 in the junk yard for it. Don't want or need a show truck, just a fun weekend rider.

I'm in the middle of looking for a rear axle for my Ranger. Everyone I find with the right gears sells before I can get there. I have an 8.8 sitting under my explorer, but it's 4.56. I can get the D35 with 4.56 free at a friends house, but those are steep gears for the street. The Impala isn't going to be a showpiece, but it's going to be a pretty damn serious street machine. Definently the last one I build to this level

Work gives you meal tickets when you come in for overtime. I always get just as many cheeseburgers as it will buy from a local BBQ joint. Hard to argue with a cheeseburger
