It was great. Had a huge prime rib on their dime or is it our dime? I wish they’d stop paying in cash for my services though, I look like a cartel member going through customs. Funny story, the State Department lady comes over to the hotel bar to pay me, pulls an envelope out of her bag and immediately the envelope opens and all this freaking money in 100 dollar denominations spills out all over the floor. She looked like a drug addled NFL player making it rain at the strip club. More than a few eyebrows were raised as she was on her hands and knees picking up a few thousand in cash. Some people.

haha.....nice scam...they give you $3k in cash and make out their own bill for $8k for reimbursement. Maybe you should start charging them more...win/win..

Next year, cost escalation. Getting the contract done this year was like pulling hen’s teeth. Governmental bureaucrats analyzing every contract line, asking for clarification (as if they would know what it was), requiring Defense Base Act insurance. It’s been a shitty and stressful three week stretch. All done now though and I am assured it will be easier next year.
