Sister in Melbourne said the hurricane wasn't as bad as some thunderstorms they've had, and a picnic compared to hurricane Irma in 2017. Now it's Carol's brother in law's turn in Charleston. Half an hour ago, said he can see it coming on his boat radar (43' catamaran motor no sails), and that doesn't reach out very far, winds are picking up now. He and the next door boat neighbor are going to take shelter in a 4 story parking deck if it gets bad.
For over 20 years docs have just told me exercise more, never even had an x-ray. When you're on your hands and knees and can't get up, that's more than exercise. I've met very few doctors that impressed me.
I've had a few doctors prescribe muscle relaxants, but when you get in to see them a day or two after the event and the back/shoulder/whichever muscles are clenched tight, even with the relaxants it can take days to get much relief. I finally had some left over when I felt the whatever it is hit the lower back, took a pill right away, and it was gone in a couple hours. Docs won't give you a supply to keep on hand, but a visit to Mexico fixed that, same brands over the counter, and cheap, too. Might have used a dozen in the past 10 years, but those lower back events that could last over a month usually are over in a couple hours to a day or two with immediate pill treatment. I don't take stuff like that unless there's an urgent need for it. Been a long time since one of the really awful hits when I feel like I have a weird pivot point in the lower back that makes it feel wobbly and hurts like hell when it does.

Jose, glad you didn't pummeled by the storm, drowned in seamen, or pecked by a giant ****. Gentlemen, this day is nearly at an end for me at work at least. I just pinched a nerve in my neck and now my shoulder hurts like hell. All this talk about chiros and I think I may hit one up just to try.
