To my good friends,
OK Guys, I'm going to have to put this out there and gauge the impact or significance related to all things TOAK, and perhaps gatherings like WS 19. I have my opinions but certainly interested in the opinions of others.
After Saturday, the only things I'll have that say Harley Davidson on them will be some coats, T-shirts and misc stuff like coffee cups.
Long story, too long for posting but I'm picking up a new 2018 BMW (K1600B Grand America) on Saturday, trading the Fugly on an attractive deal. Like the Fugly, I believe this BMW bike package is a love/hate scenario but at almost 60 years, it's a good fit for me. My HDs always treated me well and I have no complaints, but I was looking for something different and this model was designed by BMW to target the HD market. 6 cylinder, 150 HP, gadgetry, etc. I bit. It's been my MO, good or bad.
Ask me a year from now if I made the right decision. I have researched this with some diligence and the test rides went very well.......again, for me.
So ........ my question to you, what implications does this have for participation moving forward? Any? To suggest it doesn't change the landscape "at all" might be a bit presumptuous, but I tend to overthink everything.
By the way ....... if you dislike the bike, and I know some do....... That's OK - no offense taken.....seriously.
My #2 son says the giant mufflers look like potato launchers .... LOL
Thanks Gents
