I tried something different and trailered for the first time last to the Black Hills, and again to Arkansas last month. Solo, I would have tried the bike, but last year my daughter came with me and this year my lady friend that likes sidecars but not two wheels. Lot of rain both trips, I'm thinking it ain't a bad idea to trailer to the ride area in dry air conditioned comfort being able to carry on a nice conversation with anyone going with me. 50 years ago I'd just pull off in some woods with a canvas pup tent, with occasional $10 a night Mom&Pop cabins or rooms. That was before I got scared of bears.

Mick, it blew up in our faces! . I called the salesman at noon (on the day after we talked numbers) and told him my mother and I would be coming in at 5pm to make an offer on “ the” car. He asked if I could come at 4pm because he had a 5 o’clock appointment with someone else. I told him 5 was the soonest we could make it, ( my mother had to pay a guy to drive her to Traverse) . When we arrived, he said he would be with us as soon as he finished with the customer he was with maybe we would like to look at some cars while we waited???. We waited for over thirty minutes ( and while I was waiting,I tried to find the auto trader and car guruz add for the car on line and it wasn’t there any longer. So while I’m sitting in clear view of the sales manager’s deck , I ask him about the car we came to look at and he says that car was sold yesterday!. My mother and I got up and walked out PISSED.

Don't blame you one bit. Bad biz tactic. Of course he was hoping you'd find something different. Better to let you know as soon as it sold and offer alternatives at that point.
