Mick, Homey Depot gives classes on tiling, might want to stop by and learn how to do it from somebody who makes $9/hr. Hey, you get to buy new tools if you do it yourself. :ion_laugh: You now that it's not going to stop with just a shower, may as well plan a whole bath remodel in your budget.
For me it's a toss up. I hate tiling and drywall work. Of course that's always part of it. Removing tile from a floor is probably on my least favorite list. We had two layers of the crap in our master bath - couldn't believe it. I gained 2 inches of ceiling height!

This particular project will have a learning curve. I'm installing white oak wood floors on the main level to replace the carpeting. And no.......won't be going to homee depot for instruction. I used to go there sometimes for electrical stuff (as an electrician) and I would always get a laugh on the "advice" they would give.

Morning Markus! Sucks you have to work tomorrow. If it makes you feel better, think of me hauling carpet out to the 15 yard dumpster in my driveway while Cheryl's kid plays video games.

Hello, Tim. We cannot all live the life of the landed gentry you so nobly enjoy.

Morning Tim.

To be clear - I was not the one sexy dancing.

The fallout from the sexy dance was nothing compared to the war of the walls Cheryl and I had yesterday. Cheryl wants me to move a wall back 18 inches and leave a support beam exposed. I want to move it back 8 inches and have the beam in the wall. I had to walk away and work in the garage on the bike for awhile.
