The housing may be cracked. There is also a regulator on that that may have come unseated or cracked as well. The newer models are better made.

I checked my work bench and found extra parts...
there was a fiber on it, it's undamaged. Reinstalled it, feeling like a complete idiot, and went for a test ride.
She ran perfect. I feel stupid but instead of being mad, I would rather think of it as a learning experience. I know more about EFI now, and double checking my bench. If I hadn't been as organized as I was I'd be up **** creek.
