My second house in Phoenix was new, and as with most new construction there, came with a minimum rating ac. Had a lot of days it wouldn't get down to 90. Also had a piggyback swamp cooler on it, some days would cool from near 100 to low 70s, but only when the humidity was 15% or lower. By the 80s, when that new uncovered canal from the Colorado River, thousands of new houses, and more golf courses had been built, humidity rarely got that low.

I've lost 10 lbs since the day before driving to Arkansas. First time below 240 lbs in probably 2 or 3 years, hopefully won't get it all back when things slow down. Lotta sweating, including a few hours today in the garden. Still clearing the unwanted jungle that magically appeared while down south, and spreading a thick layer of that hay I got yesterday. Gr*ss already needs another mowing but too wet, got sprinkles off & on all day. Not spending much time on the 'puter lately. Haven't had the bike out since getting back, but that last ride to the cabin on the rock road caught a chunk of something, could hear it grind and rattle under the front fender briefly, then had a rattle I need to find and fix. Might be a chunk of rock caught in a cranny it's not shaking out of.
Evening Woodsnitzes. Wiring in the annex is 90%, with just a couple of breakers and outside plugs to go. Then I can do the easy low voltage stuff. Pretty brutal out there in the heat today but the pool was awesome.
Evening gents. Nice day of relaxation. Me and the kiddo went to see the airshow. Have to say it was less than spectacular. Not bad, but it seems like the Thunderbirds have scaled back their performances.
After that I took the Yamaha to the car wash and sprayed off 600 miles of crud. That bike cleans up pretty easy, I have to say. Not having chrome really shortens the work.
Having a nice Woodford Reserve on the rocks (sacrilege, I know) and enjoying the very effective air conditioning. Cheryl is in the kitchen (her natural habitat) making Pho.
Weather permitting, I'll ride the Street Glide to Mayo for a meeting tomorrow. Storms on the horizon. Hopefully they blow through quickly.

That was our “feels like” temp today but it was hotter in the garage annex with no breeze.
