A few months ago Dad fell. Couldn't pick himself up, couldn't reach his cell. I had just spoken to him on the phone, and was working, so I wouldn't have checked on him for a few hours. By either pure luck or Gods Grace, a friend of the family found him and called me, and we rushed over and got him up. Anyway, I bought him some dumbbells and put him on a workout regimen for his pushing muscles, (triceps and shoulders) which is what he needs to push himself up if he falls.
He works out every day. Now he'll lay down in the floor and push himself up and get up. He can do like 75 shoulder raises in a row. Hell, he challenged me the other day, said he could do more than me. Cracked me up.....he's a mess....
