Sadly the world has a way of teaching them some of that, Lou. He is still at an age where he has you and Naomi to help him when he stumbles, provide direction, protection, etc. It will come soon enough. The good news is, from afar and based on your posts, he seems like he is pretty in tune with his surroundings.

Parenting is tough. Kids making it on their own when it's time to leave he nest is a bigger challenge. Good parenting works. The Toak kids here are in better hands than most.
