Wellll, Woods....mark today's date. Today is the day that this hardheaded ole Italian threw up the white flag of surrender. Don't ever recall doing that. I started out this morning prepping the 5 x 20' area for my sidewalk. Pick and shovel work, real manual labor. I haven't been able to operate a shovel in 20 yrs because of my lower back but what the hell. Had to remove anywhere from 2 " to 8" of rocky packed dirt. So I went at it. Lower back started screaming immediately, but kept going. A 2' x 4' area later, I was hurting, sweating and panting like a dog in heat. It finally hit me...I'm not 40 any more. The picture came to me of my wife coming out and finding me dead of a heart attack. This project would never get finished. Put the shovels ,pick and rake away, Took out my phone and texted my SIL. " Call me, I'm hiring you to do this sidewalk and concrete"......I surrendered ...
Sux about the back Al. Now you can practice using your finger!
Hey, Lou...I'll be right in there with them just not doing the heart attack and back crippling stuff...the heart attack stuff scares me. Would ruin my plans on living forever..
