TOAK, The Thread of All Knowledge Part XIII
Jeez...now you tell me! Finally did figure out why the original steps i built were not parallel to the house The beam on the end of the porch that all measurements came from isn't parallel to the house. Going to be some creative manipulating withe the stone to make it right.
Mick, the other day you posted something about water flow, think it was 150,000 cubic gallons per minute. Have seen that description before but never gave it much thought. Then i got to wondering because "cubic" is a liner measurement and "gallon" is a volume measurement. Didn't make sense, so I researched it. A CUBIC GALLON is almost 7 1/2 gallons....so there was over a MILLION gals a minute flowing. Somebody correct me if I'm wrong.
Al, had you ponied up the $3.17 for the official TOAK handbook you would have seen that on page 132, paragraph 6, we talk about converting linear to cubic. Tsk, task
Must have missed the part of converting to liquid volume
One time we thought it would be a good idea to have a blender on the boat, what could be better than a smoothie or frozen margarita, on a hot summer day. I refer to it now as the lost weeks of 2015
