G'Afternoon, Woods....
Since i am at a standstill with the front porch project and have all this new energy, I decided to tackle a project that has been bugging me for years. Forty years ago,I removed a 5' wide back porch that ran across the back of the house (yeah..5' wide..useless), build a set of brick steps and poured a concrete patio. At the time, I wasn't sure of which end of the trowel to hold but did it anyway. They looked OK but a real mason would see the errors, this always bugged me. So, I decided to redo the steps in stone to match the front steps just to challenge myself. Pulled my back out removing the limestone treads yesterday.. I need a BIG sign in the Garoffice that says "DON'T DO STUPID ****"..this the "before " pic with tre

Morning all. Looks like everyone is doing well. My buddy delivered my new to me shed. It's only 6x9 but will fill a need for storing my wood tools and 3 bicycles. The shed needs some love but it's water tight and solid.
Sux about your back Al. Rest up. You need some cheap labor? I could go by Home Depot and send some folks your way....
Just what Al needs, workers that will do the work that ”older Americans “ just won’t do.
Thanks, Lou...but might have a communication problem. Funny thing is that I have never seen any around out HomeyDepot. Only ones with contractor signs. BTW, I like the shed , it has a certain "patina". Good project for Jax, buy some cheap paint and brushes and let him learn to paint.
The guys I consider "older" have trouble walking. With that said, my wife's cousin from Rochester was in for a few days. Born in Italy, migrated legally to US years ago and is a citizen. Guy is a Master carpenter and finisher. He's building a 1400sf Cape Cod for a hunting cabin on 200 acres he owns in NY, Basically, building it by himself....he's 82 y/o !!!!
Just let Jax do it by himself, just get him started....he'll probably have fun.
