Morning Tim, are you clearing the river for the boat races?

Looks like a typical day on the river with Dad. Mom sold his boat a couple of months ago. He was more at home on the water than anywhere else

Morning Russ.

No, we were clearing the tree so we could keep going up the river. Unfortunately that did not happen. We managed to wedge the bar and chain in the log. Had to leave the bar behind while saving the motor.
Later that night I find out that last fall, they were going under the log! Probably best that it ended the way it did cause it probably could have been worse. But a lot of fun that day. I walked in from shore (gravel side) with the saw to cut the log and next step I took found a deep hole that brought the water up to my chest really fast. Drowned the chainsaw, scrambling to get out so I don’t go under and get pinned under the log. We did get the saw running again. Nothing kills a Stihl! Hahaha

No, never tried actually. River was flowing fast and dirty. They said the river broke free mid week, and the mountain snow has been melting fast.

I have lived all my life around a river. That was the first time I’ve been on a jet boat. Was a lot of fun.
