TOAK, The Thread of All Knowledge Part XIII
Wet but not too cold, actually kind of a nice wrenching day. Got two new tires and tubes for a garden thing, and even worked a bit on Harley parts.
Wish I'd taken photos of a Huey I was in, everyone, including me terrified in the back, thought the pilot was a fool for not shutting it down in the field, one of the worst damaged ones we had that made it home under its own power. I flew in it again, but both pilots had screwed up so bad I didn't have to worry about flying with one of them again...

Outer race for roller bearing in an EVO wheel. Doing the wheels for the Electra Glide sidecar rig now, will do the Tour Glide someday. These wheels had 120K + on them, probably original bearings. Wore enough to see the roller track, but not enough to feel. Probably could have used them again, but while the wheels are off, good time to do it. Fun part will be the shimming; these are actually the Tour Glide rims, to replace the spoke wheels on the hack, and they also match the cast wheel on the sidecar. Doubt the original shims will be exact again. No guessing, I'll use a dial indicator.
