My 9 months in a tent wasn't so bad except the last month it was in a leaky tent. When it rained, I slept with a canvas sheet on top. Kept me dry, but the water that filled the low spots really chilled the canvas. Carefully pull the canvas over to the side in the morning to dump the water off without getting the bed soaked.
